Anunciados os indicados da temporada 2011 / 2012.

Com a apresentação da insólita (e ao mesmo tempo viável) dupla Jim Parsons (The Big Bang Theory) e Kristin Chenoweth (Glee), foram anunciados os indicados à 66ª edição dos prêmios Tony, do teatro norte-americano, na New York Public Library for the Performing Arts Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Center, no Lincoln Center.

Numa apresentação rápida (considerado o número de indicados) e muito divertida - o enorme Parsons ao lado da minúscula Chenoweth, devidamente instalada sobre um banquinho para não haver muita diferença de altura -, e com os apresentadores tropeçando com muito charme nos estranhos nomes dos indicados, foram conhecidos os indicados ao prêmio, que este ano está particularmente concorrido nas categorias de Ator e Atriz em Drama, recheadas de grandes nomes e desempenhos.

Já nos musicais, apesar das 11 indicações reservadas para “Once”, este parece ser o ano de “Porgy and Bess” (que recebeu 10 indicações), dada toda a mitologia que o espetáculo construiu através dos anos.

Os prêmios especiais vão para Bernadette Peters, por seu trabalho com a organização Broadway Barks! (que provê adoção para cães abandonados); Actors’ Equity Association, pelo centenário desta entidade de classe de atores e técnicos; e Hugh Jackman, homenageado pela categoria por ‘sua contribuição à comunidade da Broadway, tanto como ator quanto como humanitário; por sua incansável dedicação a trabalhos de caridade; e por sua generosidade de espírito’, nas palavras da entidade.

A festa de entrega dos prêmios Tony 2012 acontece no próximo dia 10 de junho, no Beacon Theatre, em Nova York, e terá (felizmente) como apresentador o cada vez mais surpreendente Neil Patrick Harris. No Brasil, a cerimônia deve ser transmitida (como ocorreu em anos anteriores) ao vivo pelo canal Film & Arts. Não perca! Veja abaixo os indicados em todas as categorias.
